Terralogic, the leading supplier of ruggedised and waterproof computing equipment, are pleased to announce the ability of their Toughnote Series of rugged laptop and tablet computers to meet the tough Mil-Std 1275 standard for protection against power surges.
Terralogic have not only developed an internal module that works with their Toughnote Series M-15 rugged laptops, but also an external module that works with their whole range of ruggedised units.
With this upgrade the whole Toughnote Series, currently in service all over the world in both military and civilian applications, can withstand the most severe of power line surges.
Anthony Scranney, Terralogic technical manager : "Mil-Std 1275 is an extremely challenging standard to meet and we are delighted to be able to offer this option to our customers. As far as we know this is the first time Mil-Std 1275 power surge protection has been incorporated internally for a rugged portable laptop. But by also developing an external module we are able to offer the same, unparalleled surge protection to the rest of not only our range of units, but to any powered equipment."
