Terralogic, leading UK supplier of ruggedised and waterproof laptops, tablet PC's and handheld devices, today announce a system change to their range of ruggedised tablet PC's.
This from Terralogic's Sales and Marketing Manager Maj-Britt Thorsen :
"From July 2006 all our tablet computers will come supplied with Intel 1.1 GHz ULV processors rather than the current Pentium M 1.5 GHz processors. Our DI-7 and DM-7 rugged tablet PC's will now only be offered with the ULV processors. We have decided on this major system change for a number of reasons.
- Tablet PC users have more use for major extended battery life than a minor increase in processor speed. This change will extend battery life by up to 30%.
- Heat emissions will be radically reduced.
- System stability will be increased, especially in hot working conditions.
We hope our customers will appreciate the changes we are making and continue to enjoy the current benefits of using our rugged systems - increased up-time and reliability - added to the new, extended operating times this change will offer them."
